Wessex Gloucester Launch their Brands into the Spotlight

The setting for The Gloucester Motor Show looked decidedly dreary on Friday 8th June, as Wessex Garages Gloucester arrived to set up for the weekend show, which ran from 9-10th June. Torrential rain meant one of the show organiser's fifteen ton trucks began to churn up the picturesque grounds at Highnam Court House, before Estate owner Roger Head and his assistant Milly came to the rescue with a 4x4 and helped to tow the hospitality units onto the display ground.

By Friday afternoon, however, the sun had come out and Wessex's star of the show, the latest Nissan GT-R, was gleaming in a patch of sunshine by Highnam Court's lower lake. Wessex made the GT-R available to visitors at the motor show whilst raising money for The Pied Piper Charity appeal, who aim to improve the lives of sick children in Gloucestershire. Visitors who made a donation to the charity were taken for a drive in the supercar.

Matthew Cripps, General Manager of Wessex Gloucester, has informed us that one Customer was so taken with the GT-R that he returned to the show and purchased the £75,000 car. The enthusiastic customer was local Gloucester Aerospace Engineer Mr Stan Lee. Mr Lee has been responsible for some very intricate aircraft designs, therefore is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to high performance and technology. We are sure he will be very satisfied with his new purchase.

Wessex also had over 20 cars from the Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, Fiat and Abarth ranges on display, with another focal point of the Wessex stand being the all new Kia Cee'd. The Cee'd is the latest in the Kia range from the Frankfurt design studios of Avan Garde Kia Designer Peter Schreyer. Wessex also attracted a lot of attention due to the all-electric, zero emission creation from Nissan, The Leaf.

Matthew Cripps, General Manager of Wessex Garages Gloucester, would like to thank all of The Gloucester Motor Show organisers and every current, new and potential customer that visited the Wessex Team at the two-day event. In total Wessex took over £125,000 of new orders during the event, and can safely say they will be back at the Gloucester Motor Show in 2013.
